Every once and a while you are lucky enough to find a very special piece. Sometimes it is the materials used, sometimes the theme, sometimes just because it is. This is one of those purses.
I used to be a jeweler, so metal purses and purse tops are always interesting. I have purchased some Rosenfeld cylinder purses (Italian) in the past, this was very different. The very best part however, is the memory it holds.
I PURCHASED THIS PURSE FROM SUE..
it was her grandmother's
the purse of LILLIAN LANSHE
(very French ). She was one of 10 children and only two girls! Nun, Lawyers, doctors and priests and she married a banker. They traveled all over Europe and Sue remembers going to see them off on a Pan Am flight when she was little.
Lillian was born in the 1890's had a horse named Cherry with a surrey and fringe. Sue used to love listening to the stories. Sue grew up in a family that loved garden, bridge, and gourmet clubs. A wonderful childhood. Plenty of places for such a wonderful purse filled with memories.
